This Privacy Policy applies to the app Hoc Kiip: 사회통합프로그램 KIIP (Android package name com.mango.vocabease, iOS bundle ID com.hockiip.app), published on Google Play and the App Store (Google Play developer name: ntd). The app is owned and operated by 한베에듀 (Hanbe Edu), a business registered in the Republic of Korea (business registration no. 480-30-01798), represented by NGUYEN THANH DAT. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to 한베에듀 (Hanbe Edu), the developer ntd.
Hoc Kiip is a study app for the Korean Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP / 사회통합프로그램): textbooks, grammar, vocabulary, shadowing and courses, synced with your account on hockiip.com. The same account and data also power the hockiip.com website, whose privacy policy is at https://hockiip.com/privacy.

Information we collect
- Account data: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and a user ID through Firebase Authentication. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we receive Apple's relay address instead.
- Learning data: your progress, saved vocabulary, course enrolments and settings, stored with your account so they sync between the app and hockiip.com.
- Purchase data: for paid courses, the order, amount and payment status. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
- Usage analytics: PostHog collects app events, screen views, taps and session replays to help us improve the app. Text you type and images are masked in session replays. After you sign in, analytics are linked to your user ID.
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging issues a device token so we can send study reminders and announcements.
- Device information: device model, OS version, app version and language, used for compatibility and support.
Information we do not collect
- Advertising ID — the app shows no ads and the AD_ID permission is removed.
- Location, contacts, microphone recordings or photos.
Permissions the app uses
- Internet. Load lessons, sync your account and play audio and video content.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS). Study reminders and announcements. Optional; you can turn them off in system settings.
- Foreground service for media playback. Keep lesson audio playing when the screen is off.
Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Firebase Authentication and Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — Sign-in and push notifications. Data: User ID, email, name, device token. Privacy policy
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — Sign-in. Data: Name, email, Google account ID. Privacy policy
- Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.) — Sign-in on iOS. Data: Name, email or relay email, Apple user ID. Privacy policy
- PostHog (PostHog Inc., US cloud) — Product analytics and session replay. Data: App events, screen views, device information, user ID. Privacy policy
- YouTube (Google LLC) — Embedded lesson videos. Data: Data YouTube collects when you play a video. Privacy policy
How we use and share information
We use the information above only to provide and improve the app, fix crashes, process purchases, show ads where applicable, and respond to your requests. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
- Account and learning data are kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account.
- Where Korean law requires it, payment records are kept for 5 years and access logs for 3 years.
- Analytics data is kept by PostHog according to its retention settings.
- You can request account and data deletion at https://hockiip.com/data-deletion or by email.
Security
Data sent over the network is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored on your device is kept in the app's private storage, protected by Android and iOS security.
Children
Hoc Kiip is intended for adults preparing for KIIP and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to processing. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
